Something Edgy ~ My Own Coffin Handle Bowie

I engrave a lot of horn, antler, and bone handle knives for other people.  For a while there I was turning out more handles than horns.  I finally descided to take a bowie in lew of payment.  I learned two things, first you want to pick your own material if it is your own personal item.  Second, be picky!  It's your stuff and if your gonna show it off it should be stylin!

This bone was brittle and didn't hold color well.  I decided to go with it and give it a cowboy look.  It was gonna go on my pistol belt anyway so might as well have at it!

If you are a Mason then you will identify with the symbolism.  It is correct for the era as I have seen so many western pieces with Masonic inscriptions.

If you've read through my other captions you will know that I hide little symbols and marks.  I would tell you more but then someone might have to kill me...

This is the reverse side.

It isn't finished yet as I am in a quandry as to what else to engrave on this side.
